Earlier this month we made the pilgrimage to Milan for their annual Design Week. Design Week is paradise for lovers of international design — both a chance to see all the new pieces from our favorite lines as well as an opportunity to soak in the insane architecture and sights of the city ... visual overload! 

Above, Bosco Verticale in the Isola neighborhood — we posted a photo of this as "inspiration" on our Instagram nearly two years ago ... and it greeting us literally the moment we stepped off the train in Milan felt like a good omen for the rest of the trip + inspiration to come.

11. The 1965 Pendant by Paavo Tynell at Gubi. Of course installing these pendants from the ceiling in this historic building was not an option…I loved how they found a thoughtful way to display pendant lighting.
